Now that I look at those, they are in complete reverse order. Fortunately, all are visiting me well.
When all this started to come into view, I vowed I would not relent to being a victim. This has a purpose in my life. There is something in this illness that I needed to understand to speak into someone else’s life. Plain and simple.
In these first few days after the procedure, of course you focus on making sure everything works. BUT, the real challenge is not being tricked into thinking you are old, or moving into a dormant or sunset stage of life. No. Just no.
As long as we do the work, we can restore much, if not all of normal bio function.
Yesterday morning I woke up starving and then a little less so last night. Much of this is do to a shrinking stomach having lost 35 lbs (so far) due to major oral surgery 12/29/2020.
Which btw, I would not have suspected C had I not opted to have that oral work done. The pre-op tests revealed enough stats to warrant a few tests.
And finally, sleep. Thank you for visiting me quite a bit last night. I need you deeply to heal and relax.
I am in awe of how our bodies are designed. How they are made to heal ourselves or send great big messages to us when they are struggling to keep up. Both, in my mind are miracles.
While awake for a few last night around 2:30a, I simply began praying and singing quietly to myself. I am thankful we found everything early, thankful the procedure is over, thankful to be on the mend, thankful for friends and family.
I am thankful for many, many things that just a few short weeks ago were totally out of order.
Healing. Focus. Purpose. Thankfulness.
